Mechanical Services

At Mike’s Auto Body and Repair we have all the latest scan and diagnostic tools required to repair American, European, and Foreign made vehicles.
We are a AAA Approved Repair Facility as well as a NAPA Auto Care Center. We employ ASE Certified Technicians and no repair is too large or small.
When your vehicle is repaired at Mike’s Auto Body and Repair, you receive a NATIONWIDE WARRANTY on those repairs for 12 months or 12,000.00 miles, whichever occurs first.
Here are some tips to keeping your vehicle running efficiently:
Living in Florida and the summer heat will take a toll on your vehicle. You can lessen the odds of mechanical failure through periodic maintenance.
Oil Changes
Change your oil and oil filter as specified in your vehicle’s owner’s manual. However, if you make frequent short trips or, extended trips with lots of luggage, or tow a trailer you may have to change your oil sooner. At Mike's Auto Body and Repair we use a synthetic oil blend for standard oil changes. We are also able to perform full synthetic oil changes when requested by our customers.

Tires
Have your tires rotated about every 5,000 miles. Check tire pressures once a month; check them while they're cold before driving for any distance. Don't forget to check your spare tire as well. A good practice is to have your tires checked and rotated when you are having your oil changed.
At Mike's Auto Body and Repair we carry a full line of tires. If there is a specialty tire needed we are able to help our customers with that too.
We also have all of the newest equipment on site to program you car to relearn and rest your tire pressure sensor lamps.
Air Conditioning
A marginally operating system will fail in hot weather. Have the system examined by a qualified technician. Newer models have cabin air filters that clean the air entering the heating and air conditioning system.
Cooling System
The greatest cause of summer breakdowns is overheating. The cooling system should be completely flushed and refilled about every 24 months. The level, condition, and concentration of the coolant should be checked periodically. Never remove the radiator cap until the engine has thoroughly cooled! The tightness and condition of drive belts, clamps, and hoses should be checked by a skilled technician.

Lights
Inspect all lights and bulbs; replace burned out bulbs; periodically clean dirt and insects from all lenses. To prevent scratching, never use a dry rag.
Brakes
Brakes should be inspected as recommended in your manual, or sooner if you notice pulsations, grabbing, noises, or longer stopping distance. Minor brake problems should be corrected promptly.
Engine Performance
Replace other filters (air, fuel, PCV, etc.) as recommended and if you have any engine drive-ability problems (hard starts, rough idling, stalling, diminished power, etc.) make an appointment with us
Windshield Wipers
A dirty windshield causes eye fatigue and can pose a safety hazard. Replace worn blades and get plenty of windshield washer solvent.
Battery
Batteries can fail any time of year. The only accurate way to detect a weak battery is with professional equipment.
Regular, routine maintenance can help improve your gasoline mileage, reduce pollution, and catch minor problems before they become big problems. If you have any questions or concerns call us.
